The True 'Saviour Sibling'

photo

Have you ever considered what is meant in scripture when it states that 'God is Love'.

The original concept of the word 'love' in this context is unconditional grace or favour toward a person or thing.

However the word when referred to God exceeds our context as the scripture doesn't just states that God loves us but rather that God is Love. God is the embodiment of Love, He is it's true definition.

The closest analogy of the divine love we have is that of a parent and child, that love is normally unconditional, we feed and care for our children even when they are obnoxious and uncaring toward us.

It is because of this link in understanding between parental love and divine love that scripture uses the concept to parents with their children to express God's out going concern for all humankind. So when we read the statement that 'God so loved the world that He give is only begotten Son to redeem us from eternal death' we baulk at the concept.

Our Loving Father's Divine Intervention

There are times in our lives when we as Christians need to examine our walk with God and consider the many instances when He has directly intervened within our lives.

For many professing Christians the subject of miracles are historically based and only even happened in the scripture, so not something which continues to occur today in the 21st century. Are they correct or are miracles continuing to occur within Christian’s lives everyday? I would propose the second option as I know that God has personally intervene in my live and therefore other peoples lives too, and not just on special occasions but on a regular basis as a caring parents would for any of their children.

Arranged marriage - Why Us

The title of this article, (Arranged Marriage - Why Us?) is not just the reason for the emergence of Christianity out of Judaism, but can be shown to be the reason for creation itself.

The Darkest Day - the Brightest Dawn

The day following the crucifixion of Jesus was filled with mixed emotions for the populist of Jerusalem. While some assumed that the religious leaders had discovered that Jesus was a fraud other people were dishearten as they envisaged an end to the wonderful healing which had accompanied Jesus’ personal ministry.

Addressing the Heart of God - a Letter to Northern Ireland

People of Northern Ireland the Lord God has a message for you if you are willing to receive it. It is a message of good news, it offers life in the midst of death and that life is to be in total abundance.

The ways of this world lead to death and suffering. It is evident that all humanity suffer from both of these deceivers. The lie of death is that it is the final reckoning for all life. It claimed that there is no return from it’s dark prison but the scripture disputes this untruth and the Lord God who created all things through His Son Jesus Christ will ultimately bring this deceiver to a swift end. Death will be destroyed by the God who is Life and the Creator of all things living.

The Good News for the Ordinary Man

The simplicity of the gospel message, which was taught to the populist by the first generation of Christians, merely was the telling of the message they personally received from Jesus Christ and the teaching, which He give to them over the 3½ year period He was with them on this earth. Following on from that first generation we start to see the simplicity of the gospel message become more and more convoluted as the intellectual theologians, adulterated the message by searching out hidden meanings, which only they as the educated intelligentsia could translate. It is this adulterate message of the true faith which has morphed into the behemoth religion we call Christianity today.

Penny of Gold - Value of a True Christian

What value would you place on a Christian versus anyone from any other group in the world today. This was a thought which came to me while driving home from a church service the other morning and continued to plague me for the rest of the day.

Spiritual Anorexia

I recently received a number of wonderful invitations to speak in Africa, Pakistan and India which sadly I was forced to decline due to cost.

I always welcome such invites and were possible, try to include a link on our home page to the aforementioned ministries if permission is granted. If your wish to support any of the ministries we are linked to please contact them individually as we are unable to receive donation on their behalf.

On the subject of donations I would like to highlight that we are a non-profit ministry and do not receive donations from the general public or from any established religious institutions etc. The advantage of this is that we do not have to maintain accounts for tax proposes, the disadvantages is that we have no financial support which could be used to maintain and update the site.

Everything is supplied from our gracious God who supplies all of our needs.
